2.5 down, 5.5 to go…

Before Hubs left, we did a couple of fun things.

We visited Stennis Space Center. It was alright. We didn't get the full tour, because Gator fell asleep on the bus.
This shuttle is made out of legos.

We also visited Global Wildlife Center. I am so bummed that we didn’t know about this place before now. It was awesome! We bought some food pellets and rode around in a wagon for an hour feeding the animals from our cups and from our hands. The boys loved it. Hubs and I thought it was really cool too.
1) Bull turned his cap to the side so he could get a sip from the water fountain.
2) Gator feeding the red stag.

3) That's my hand feeding the giraffe. 4) The boys.

5) That's the new baby giraffe - so cute!

Now, it’s been two weeks since Hubs left for Army training. The first week was rough because none of us were feeling well. We have finally reached 99% well status. Last week was much better as we are falling into a routine. This week is flying by since we are preparing for a trip to see Hubs and our family in FL.

We borrowed a webcam from some friends of ours. This has made all the difference in the world. The boys ask to talk to Daddy on the computer all day long! It’s been great to have some face time with him.

Hubs is praying for us before bedtime.

It is Mardi Gras season, so the parades have started rolling. The route is within walking distance of our house, so we have watched one so far. I don’t think we’ll be going to another one though. I’m a little freaked out by having to keep my eyes on two boys in that kind of environment.
Here's the loot:

In order to make my life a bit easier during this transition time, I got my hair chopped off. I’ve had it this short before, so it isn’t shocking to me. The best part? It takes me about 5 minutes to get my hair done in the mornings!

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Don't have any pics of the new do yet. I'll post one as soon as it's available.
