Christmas came early!

Hubs and my parents got this camera lens for me for Christmas last Saturday. I can't even begin to tell you how incredibly excited I am. Now I won't have to change lenses anymore!

More Colors of the Season

I thought that I had missed all of the sunflowers. But! The other day on our walk/bike ride, I found these still blooming! Aren't they beautiful?! And the sky was really that blue.

I love where our house sits. We back up to a valley. So every night I get a front seat to these gorgeous Kansas sunsets. This night was particularly beautiful, so I grabbed my camera and ran outside to catch it. This picture really doesn't do it justice. But it was so pretty!

I'm joining in Tuesdays Unwrapped at Emily's blog. What is your gift today?

Colors of the Season

In honor of Tuesdays Unwrapped over at Chatting at the Sky, and my first Fall in this new place I call home, I hope you enjoy the colors of the season through my lens!

Three on Thursday

1. I got to hear the baby's heartbeat again yesterday. Every time I hear it, I laugh. The first time Hubs heard Gator's heartbeat, he said that it sounded like a merchant ship on sonar. (He used to be a submariner.)

2. Here are a couple more blurry background shots. I have such cute kids!

3. We're fixin' to make some cookies. Yumm-O!

(Nearly) Wordless Wednesday- Part 1

I've been practicing/experimenting with my camera to learn how to get blurry backgrounds in the shots of my boys. Thanks to MckMama, I now know how to do it!

Here are the results of my first blurry background photo shoot:
