3 Mohawks
It was time for haircuts again (Hubs leaves soon for some training and I didn't want to do it by myself). Both of them wanted mohawks this time. So, laughing to myself, I obliged. This time, they have true mohawks, all the way down the back of their beautifully shaped heads! And Monkey has these curls (where did they come from?!) that lend themselves to a mini-mohawk with just a bit of water. So, I took some pictures of course! I'm just waiting for them to ask to color their hair red, white and blue for the World Cup!

I'm back (kinda')...
This is how I have spent the majority of the last 5 weeks.
That's because I have hyperemesis gravidarum. That's right...I'm pregnant! I am now at 14 weeks and due at the beginning of December. The baby is the size of a softball now. I have survived because of Zofran and Phenergan, and an incredibly patient husband. I have lost 16 pounds over the last few weeks. I've finally started to gain some of it back, though not quickly (I hope). I had this with Bull, though much worse. This time we saw it coming and got some meds before it got really bad. Hubs has been a trooper and has really kept us going. Yay for great husbands!
Therefore, my house is still a wreck, and very dirty. So, no pictures of the new place yet!
However, lots of other things have occurred.
We went to a Strong Bonds event and laughed a great deal. It was so much fun!
We also got to visit Spring Canyon for a long weekend to attend the Council meeting. We went to a local farm and fed baby goats! Gator loved it. Bull wanted nothing to do with it!
Gator graduated from Kindergarten. Not a great picture, but it's what I've got. This is his sweet teacher, Mrs. D. She retired this year, so the graduation was bitter sweet for her.
We went to this hotel this past week for Chaplain Annual Sustainment Training. It was a lot of fun! I was actually feeling well enough to play in the pool with the boys.
Gator started indoor soccer yesterday. Bull is growing so quickly and says the funniest things. I think we are going to re-start potty training him this weekend. Last summer was not a happy time, so we dropped the potty training. This time we'll call it Potty Training 301. When the baby comes, he WILL be trained!
So, I think that this catches us up. We've got lots of fun stuff planned for this summer. I look forward to getting started. I think I will be posting on a more regular basis now that I'm out of the first trimester, but I reserve the right to not post if I don't feel good!

Staples and Soccer
We went to Florida this past weekend to celebrate my grandmother's 80th birthday. We had a great time catching up with everyone.
We also made a side trip to the Emergency Room. Bull split his head open and ended up with 5 staples.
Fun, fun, fun all around. I am amazed and blessed that we have been parenting boys for a total of 6 years now and this is the first "bloody" trip to the ER.

Bull is doing fine now. The staples should come out on Monday the 24th.
Also, Gator had his final soccer game last week. He scored 2 goals. Here's a great pic of them making their shark faces!

This past weekend...
*Be sure to scroll down and see my last post...more pictures there. I've got a lot of catching up to do! Also, I added new links (to the left) if you have nothing to do or need an excuse to not do something.*
What a great weekend! Friday, we prepared all day for the garage sale on Saturday. So, we went out to dinner at Olive Garden. I had minestrone soup and salad. Yum!
Saturday morning, I was up very early to help with the garage sale before the soccer game. The soccer game - Gator scored 5 goals, y'all. Seriously. FIVE goals. In SIXTEEN minutes of play. Ahem. Here are two of them:
Then we went back to the garage sale and off loaded some goods in return for some serious loot! Also, we found out that we received a scholarship that we weren't expecting! Woo hoo!
And finally, my Gators rocked on Saturday night. And I live in Southeast Louisiana, an hour from Baton Rouge.
A sidenote: we got pranked on Friday night sometime. There was a "Geaux Tigers" magnet strategically placed on the tailgate of the truck. Sneaky Byron (worship leader at our church). Fortunately, when loading the last of the goods for the garage sale, we found it before the truck left the driveway. That garage sale saved us some serious blasphemy! :-)
Sunday morning was wonderful. The Lord, with the help of some awesome nursery workers and a Veggie Tales video calmed my boy's spirit enough that I got to attend the entire service - something I haven't been able to do in four weeks. I was so thankful. And tonight we went to the circus (check back tomorrow for those pictures).

That's how I feel after the last couple of weeks! We have been extremely busy, but in the good way! Here's an update in pictures since it would take forever to write all that we've been doing!

Goal!
Gator had his first soccer game today. He did very well and had lots of fun! Bull desperately wanted to play, but he ended up being very patient.

Happy New Year!
Welcome 2008!
We arrived home safely today after a week of traveling. It was good to see family, but it's good to be home too. We had a great time and got some great presents! And, I got enough moo-la to fund my new digital camera (along with some coupons and discounts)! Yay! Obviously, the most important thing is that we got to spend some good time with family and friends, though we missed being able to see some people.
The Gators lost today...yuck.
Tomorrow begins the goal-setting for the new year. Hubs and I already started planning most of our year. We had to figure out when he will go for Army training.
I just love a fresh start! Don't you?

Go Gators!
Congratulations to the young Tim Tebow, 2007 Heisman Trophy winner! And the first sophomore to ever do so. He follows in the footsteps of other Gators Steve Spurrier and Danny Wuerrfel. It's great to be a Florida Gator!

Whew!
What a week! The ticks are gone. Last weekend we went to Georgia to help Hubs' grandfather move in with Hubs' parents after the death of his wife. The exterminator had to come and re-treat our room. Then we had Gator's Thanksgiving Party at school. They had a little program at the beginning. They dressed up as Indians and sang a few, very cute songs. 
Then we headed to the smorgasbord of food in the Fellowship Hall. We Baptists aren't great at everything, but we can cook the most delicious food. And the desserts? As Hubs would say, "It was so good it'd make ya' wanna' slap your grandma!" Bull had two appointments Thursday afternoon. The first was with a speech pathologist to do his evaluation. She thinks that he just needs articulation therapy (which is what we expected). Then we went to the Audiologist only to find out that because of an ear infection that showed up Thursday morning, we have to reschedule. That's ok. We'll do it as soon as we get home from Thanksgiving travels. Friday morning, Bull and I went to the doctor. He's on Omnicef (oral antibiotics) and Ciprodex (ear drops) for his ear infection, Mucinex for the congestion and cough, and Albuterol (inhaler) for the wheezing. 
I am on Mucinex for my congestion and cough (which Bull gave to me). The boys and myself stayed home from Church this morning. We decided to keep our cooties to ourselves. Now we are packing for our Tour De Southeast that starts tomorrow. We'll be going to visit Hubs' family for a few days. Then we head to Georgia for the latter part of the week to visit my Mom's relatives. Hubs and my Dad will be leaving before the rest of us to get to the UF/FSU showdown in the SWAMP (where only Gators get out alive) on Saturday night. Go Gators! Oh, Happy Thanksgiving too!

Baseball
Here's Gator helping Bull learn how to hit off the tee (he really was helping). The boys got baseball stuff for their birthdays from Grandmommy and Granddaddy. Bull got the tee and a lightweight ball and bat (made out of some kind of foam). Gator got T-Ball level stuff (bat, balls and glove) and continues to do very well hitting a pitched ball. Bull still treats the bat like a sword most of the time. We're working on it!

When it rains...
...it pours. It's been raining all day today. So my children (and myself) are a bit stir crazy. This is what has happened so far. I had to take all four of the teenage mutant ninja turtles away (two per kid) because they could not figure out how to share. The dams broke forth and the tears and wails didn't stop for literally 10 minutes. Then, I decided to check my email while the kids played on the porch.* I walked into my living room a few minutes later and saw two ride-on toys, a soccer goal, soccer balls, and sand box toys (with wet sand still in them) just inside the door. Gator claims that he wanted to play with me, so since I was inside, he was bringing the toys to me. How sweet. Here's Gator dragging the toys back outside.
And the wet sand that was left inside my house. By the way, vacuum cleaners make interesting sounds when vacuuming up wet sand, very high pitched and squealy.
Oh, and Bull was eating the sand, of course.
All before 10:30 am! *Typically when it's raining, as long as no lightning is around, I let the kids play outside. They love it! One of my fondest memories of childhood is playing in the waterfall that came off our house at Tides Road. I think my mom has pictures of us.
And the wet sand that was left inside my house. By the way, vacuum cleaners make interesting sounds when vacuuming up wet sand, very high pitched and squealy.
Oh, and Bull was eating the sand, of course.

Soccer and Spring Canyon
This is Hubs teaching some soccer skills. He had a very attentive group!
We got to visit Spring Canyon this weekend. Unfortunately, Bull wasn't feeling too hot, so we left a little earlier than we expected. But we still had a great time exploring the ponds and playing on the playgrounds. Bull has started raising his hands and saying "Woo hoo!" He says "whee" when he's on the swing, and he calls me Mommy (instead of Mama) now.
Gator climbed up on top of these monkey bars a number of times. What happened to my cautious child?!
It's hard to believe that we only have a week left! We'll be heading back to Louisiana on the 10th.
